Intel introduced its Core Ultra (14th Generation) desktop and mobile processors as part of the event it held in recent weeks. However, new reports have revealed the company’s Arrow Lake-S desktop platform and processors.
Intel Arrow Lake-S features leaked
According to the files shared on Twitter, Arrow Lake-S desktop processors will have a 24-core architecture consisting of 8 high-performance P-cores and 16 efficient E-cores. The high-end models are said to come with a clock speed of 3.5GHz at 125W TDP.
Intel will also offer lower-end variants such as 14-core/20-thread and 22-core/28-thread. It was also stated that some cores were disabled in some engineering samples, but it is not known what kind of testing Intel performed.
Architecturally, Arrow Lake-S will use the latest Intel Lion Cove P and Skymont E cores. According to Raptor Lake, this is 5 percent in single core; It is expected to provide a 15 percent performance increase in multi-core. Cache sizes will also increase by up to 3MB per P-core.
Motherboards for the new platform are expected to be compatible with the LGA1851 socket. Accordingly, Intel; It will use 800 series chipsets including Z890, H870, B860 and H810. These support up to 6400MT/s DDR5 memory in dual channel mode.
AMD is preparing to introduce the Zen 5-based Ryzen “Granite Ridge” platform soon. This shows that the Intel Arrow Lake-S series may become official later this year.
