Apple brings a lot of software updates to its devices to keep them updated. Additionally, these updates bring several new features and improvements. The company released iOS 16.2 RC to developers and beta users on Wednesday. While the update adds new features including the Freeform app, new HomeKit architecture, and Apple Music Sing, it also enables support for 5G connectivity for iPhone users in India. Here are the details…

iOS 16.2 RC adds 5G support to iPhone in India

The phone manufacturer is expected to release the official update sometime this month. However, it released the iOS 16.2 RC version to developers and beta users before the official release. One of the most important features of the new beta is the support for 5G connectivity in India. iPhone users in India were unable to experience the 5G network in their country because of the lack of support for iOS. Now, it is available.

In fact, there is no mention of 5G support in India on the official release notes for iOS 16.2, but the users, who have updated their devices, confirmed the 5G support. After users install the update, they can enable 5G in the iPhone Settings app to experience a faster network.

You should make sure that your device and the carrier have the support for a 5G network. Now, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, and iPhone SE 3 users can connect to the faster network in India. If you are a customer of Airtel or Jio carriers, and you are subscribed to a 5G plan, you can connect to 5G networks.
