What to expect in iOS 16.4?
The tech giant has been preparing the stable version of iOS 16.4 for a long time. With the beta versions, we get some details about the upcoming update. One of the new features is the new emojis. Apple adds part of the Unicode Standard for Emoji Update 15.0, which includes a shaking face, a goose, a pink heart, and more. Also, the new emoji feature will be available on the new versions of macOS, watchOS, and iPadOS.
Another most expected feature is the redesigned Apple Books page-turning animation. In the new version of iOS, Apple will add the page-turning animation back to Apple Books. Additionally, the company will bring new Safari and third-party browser features, such as push notifications, Home Screen web apps, and more.
With iOS 16.4, users in select countries will have access to faster 5G, called 5G SA. Apple will make it available in US, Brazil, and Japan. Also, the 5G can be enabled in Macau, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye soon. On the other side, the new update will bring some features to shortcuts, including a new “Set Always-On Display” action, a new “Lock Screen” action, and a new “Set VPN” action.
