Apple has finally released iOS 16 with new features and patches for its iPhones. The new software comes with many new significant features like all-new personalisation, deeper intelligence, and more seamless ways to communicate and share, according to Apple. While some features are not available for now, they will be released later. Here are all the details about iOS 16 features.
What’s coming with iOS 16
The tech giant announced iOS 16 in June at the WWDC 2022. A few days ago, Apple also launched its new devices at the “Far Out” event. The new iPhone 14 series, Apple Watch Series 8, and AirPods Pro 2nd Gen launched at that event. iOS 16 comes with some expected features like Unsend and Edit Messages, a new Lock Screen, and Focus Mode.
iOS 16 is available with the iPhone SE (2nd generation or later) and up models. However, some features are not available on some devices. Most of them are available on iPhone XS and upper models. One of the most significant features is SharePlay via Messages. You can now watch the latest episode of your favourite show or listen to a new song with friends while chatting about it in Messages.
Apple also launched the Health app updates which include the new medications feature, and the Fitness app for iPhone. Now, you can track and meet your fitness goals using iPhone motion sensors, your steps, distance, and third-party workouts. The company also released some updates for CarPlay, but vehicle announcements will arrive in late 2023.
iOS 16 offers a lot of widget options for the iOS 16 Lock Screen, including Apple Watch Activity rings, world clock, temperature, calendar, Home, batteries, and more. You will be able to use third-party apps for the widgets in the Lock Screen in the coming days.
