Here is the iOS 17.4 RC version and features!
Apple starts the journey with developer betas before each new iOS update. These versions, which you can access by getting a developer account at Apple, are not stable enough. After the developer beta, the iOS RC version appears. But what is this iOS 17.4 RC version?
iOS 17.4 RC (Release Candidate) versions appear as possible “Release Candidates”. If no major issues are found, these are the final versions of the two operating systems. So, if you have an Apple developer account, you have the chance to try iOS 17.4 before most people.
iOS 17.4 RC features
With iOS 17.4 RC version, Apple first introduced features such as a different app store for EU countries, Safari alternative browsers, and allowing third-party payment methods. With iOS 17.4 RC version, Apple started to provide Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce Now service with the app.
With iOS 17.4 RC, in-app purchases are now available for mini-games, chatbots and add-ons. With the iOS 17.4 update, Apple introduced new mushroom, phoenix, lemon, broken chain, sideways nod and up and down nod emojis. Apple has also added 18 new human body emojis facing left and right.
The iOS 17.4 RC update brings end-to-end encryption to the iMessage app. However, Apple says this end-to-end encryption is cryptographically protected. According to Apple, this makes iMessage more secure than WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal.
Apple is also making important innovations for battery health. However, this update covers iPhone 15 and 15 Pro models. As you know, iPhone models usually reach 80 percent battery health after 500 charge cycles. Apple announced that with the iOS 17.4 update, battery health will reach 80 percent after 1000 charging cycles for the iPhone 15 series. It is unclear whether this improvement will come to other iPhone models.

- Siri has a new option to read messages aloud in any supported language.
