Apple has always released new features and improvements in its updates to devices. While the company is expected to announce the final version of iOS 16.4 soon, the details about the iOS 17 revealed. Now, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported about the potential iOS 17 features and expectations. According to Gurman, the new update will include more significant features than previously thought. Here are the details about the expected iOS 17 features…
Apple to release iOS 17 with most expected features
A few months ago, reporters and leakers said that the upcoming software update would have fewer significant features than earlier versions. For example, iOS 17 is expected to come with CarPlay Updates, Support for the Mixed Reality Headset, and a few more features. However, these are not as much as earlier versions. Now, Mark Gurman announced that the new update might have more specific features, like most requested ones.
Mark Gurman from Bloomberg says, “When Apple set out to develop iOS 17, the initial thinking was to call it a tuneup release — one focused more on fixing bugs and improving performance than adding new features (not unlike the approach the company took with Snow Leopard on Mac OS X back in 2009). The hope was to avoid the problems of iOS 16, an ambitious update that suffered from missed deadlines and a buggy start.”
He also added, “But later in the development process, the strategy changed. The iOS 17 release is now expected to boast several “nice to have” features, even if it lacks a tentpole improvement like last year’s revamped lock screen. The goal of the software, codenamed “Dawn,” is to check off several of users’ most requested features.” We can understand that Apple will focus on more expected features in the new update.
Apple will likely release the iOS 17 in June at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, as in previous years. The update could come with some significant improvements and features, including a next-generation CarPlay, changes to Siri, support for sideloading and alternative app stores, and more.
