It adds an extra layer of security against potential breaches and eavesdropping.

A source claims that iOS 17 will feature a revamped Control Center, allowing for more customization, including a freely adjustable flashlight brightness slider.

Wallet App improvements

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the Wallet app is set for a redesign with tabs and search functionality, making it more user-friendly as new features like Apple Pay Later and Apple Card Savings are added.

Next-generation CarPlay

Apple’s next-generation CarPlay will support multiple displays, widgets, and integration with vehicle functions. Vehicles with this enhanced CarPlay experience are expected to be announced in late 2023.

Journal app

The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple is developing a journaling app for the iPhone, which may be introduced alongside iOS 17 if it’s ready by then.

App sideloading in EU

To comply with the European Union’s Digital Markets Act, Apple plans to allow app sideloading on the iPhone, enabling users to install apps outside of Apple’s App Store.

Mood Tracking

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman expects iOS 17 to include new tools for tracking emotion and managing vision conditions in the Health app, as well as the introduction of the Health app on the iPad.

Unwanted tracking alerts expansion
