Recently, Apple released the stable version of iOS 18, which brings a host of new features. One of the most praised aspects of this update is its enhanced customization options. With iOS 18, iPhone users can now enjoy more extensive personalization. Here are the new customization options for your iPhone…
Different Designs for Home Screen and Apps
One of the standout customization options in iOS 18 is the ability to freely place apps and widgets on the home screen. Historically, Apple allowed users to arrange apps in a fixed grid pattern, but with the new update, you can now place apps and widgets anywhere on the screen with the spacing you prefer.
Customizing App Icons
Another new feature is the ability to customize app icons. You can now change the design and color of icons on the home screen. By long-pressing the home screen and selecting the “Edit” option, you can experiment with different color tones. Additionally, you can resize the icons and choose whether their names are displayed. However, you cannot use both a large icon and a large name simultaneously.
New Control Center and Lock Screen Buttons
With the updated Control Center, you can now add or remove controls and adjust their sizes. This functionality extends to third-party apps as well. For the first time in Apple’s history, you can now remove and replace the flashlight and camera buttons on the lock screen, allowing you to place other control elements in their place.
Customization doesn’t stop there. The Photos, Reminders, and Fitness apps have also received design changes. One of the significant updates in the Photos app is the addition of customization features throughout the app. Furthermore, you can now make different adjustments to the Reminders and Fitness apps as well.
