iPhone will be able to make video calls in emergencies!

Ana sayfa / News

Apple is bringing a life-saving innovation with the new update: This iOS 18 feature allows you to make real-time video calls to support operators in emergencies or share videos on your phone. Here are the details…

With this feature, you no longer have to rely solely on voice communication when making an emergency call. By making a real-time video call, you will be able to show the operators the scene, allowing them to instantly assess the extent of a fire or the severity of a traffic accident.

So, with emergency video calling, crews will know what to expect before they arrive on the scene. In addition, video and photos will be transmitted over a secure connection, protecting your privacy. With iOS 18, users will have the option to accept or decline the video call request from the operator when making an emergency call. So, you can either say “Yes” and show the scene, or say “No” and continue with voice-only communication.

A similar feature has already been tested in the UK through an app, but it would be more beneficial for Apple to integrate it directly into the operating system for widespread use and ease of use. So there will be no need to download an extra app.
