Apple aims to elevate the experience for iPhone users with the new iOS 26.2 features. The first beta version has been released, and this update offers significant improvements in many areas, from the lock screen to the built-in apps.
What does iOS 26.2 offer?
The most striking aspect of the new update is the increased customization options on the lock screen. Users can now more easily change the “Liquid Glass” watch style. A new slider allows you to make the watch completely transparent or opt for a more frosted look.
Apple is also strengthening its built-in apps with this release. The Freeform app now offers table support, and Apple Podcasts gains three new features: podcast episodes can be automatically created, citations can be viewed through transcripts, and links mentioned can be accessed directly. Sleep scores are also updated with this version.
On the security front, an “Enhanced Security Alerts” section has been added to the Notifications section of the Settings menu. Earthquake and emergency notifications can be managed here in supported countries. Additionally, the “LED Flash for Alerts” feature now includes the screen flash.
Described by Apple as a “major update,” iOS 26 offers a generally new design, smart experiences, and brand new apps like “Apple Games.” Among the notable features was the Turkish language support for the Apple Intelligence infrastructure introduced in iOS 26.1.
