The iOS 26 update continues to bring new issues to Apple users. Following previous issues with issues like Wi-Fi and CarPlay, the Calendar app’s search feature is now malfunctioning. Calendar search issues are being seen on many models, from the iPhone 13 mini to the iPhone 17 Pro.
New update breaks the Calendar app
Users are reporting that the event they’re searching for isn’t showing up in the results when searching in the Calendar app. The fact that some keywords work while others don’t demonstrates the complexity of the situation. Some users report that while they can’t search in the Calendar app, they can still use Siri and Spotlight.
This issue first appeared in the beta version of iOS 26, but complaints have increased since its general release. Apple has released an official statement regarding the issue. The company is aware of the issue and will address it in a future update. However, it’s unclear whether this fix will arrive in iOS 26.0.1 or iOS 26.1.
A temporary workaround has been suggested for users affected by this issue. Toggle off the Calendar app’s search settings in Settings, restart your phone, and then turn them back on.
It takes a while for the search index to rebuild. Many users who followed these steps report that the problem is resolved. However, for some users, this temporary solution didn’t work either.
