Apple announced the highly anticipated new operating system updates at the WWDC 2025 conference held yesterday evening. One of the prominent announcements at the launch is iPadOS 26. So which iPad models will receive the company’s new update?
iPad models that will receive the iPadOS 26 update
iPadOS 26 will welcome us with a new design, a powerful and user-friendly brand new window system, and new features supported by Apple Intelligence, as well as significant improvements in working with files, audio, and video.
The company’s new operating system update is available for testing purposes to Apple Developer Program members at developer.apple.com. The public beta version is expected to meet users next month through the Apple Beta Software Program at beta.apple.com.

- 12.9-inch iPad Pro (3rd generation and newer)
- 11-inch iPad Pro (1st generation and newer)
- iPad Air (M2 and newer)
- iPad Air (3rd generation and newer)
- iPad (A16)
- iPad (8th generation and newer)
- iPad mini (A17 Pro)
- iPad mini (5th generation and newer)
