Apple will make significant advancements in the expected smartphone series for mixed reality integration. As the first step to work with Vision Pro, the company will upgrade the Ultra-Wideband (UWB) chip inside the iPhone 15. Kuo provided the following details on the matter:
The iPhone 15 will see an upgrade in UWB specifications as the production process transitions from 16nm to the more advanced 7nm. This will result in better performance or less power consumption for nearby interactions.
Furthermore, the source revealed important information about the next iPhone series. According to the information, the iPhone 16 will be upgraded to the long-awaited Wi-Fi 7. Previous reports suggested that the series would feature larger screen sizes. Based on recently leaked visuals, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a 6.7-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Ultra will have a 6.9-inch display.
