The European Parliament decided a few years ago that electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, computers, and similar technological gadgets should have a standardized port to reduce environmental waste. With this in mind, all eyes turned to Apple, which has been using the Lightning port for many years. If the brand did not transition to the USB Type-C port, it would not be able to sell phones and tablets in Europe. Apple was obliged to comply with this decision in order not to lose a significant market. As a result, the iPhone 15 Plus model comes with a USB Type-C port.
