The Apple Wonderlust event is just days away. The iPhone 15 family is expected to be introduced at the launch. In recent months, rumors of a new model called iPhone 15 Ultra have emerged. New reports have put the final point on whether the Ultra model will be released.
iPhone 15 Pro Max or 15 Ultra?
A new report from Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman has revealed new information about the iPhone 15 series and debunked previous speculation about the naming. He reports that there will be no iPhone 15 Ultra variant and that Apple will continue to use the “Pro Max” name for its top-end model.
According to Gurman, Apple plans to release four models. These will be iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, respectively. The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, which will be the base model, will have a glass aluminum frame on the back, similar to previous devices.
Pro models will use titanium coating instead of stainless steel edges. Apple wants to class up the design with this coating. However, this change in material will have a direct impact on the prices of the devices. Leaks suggest an upgrade of up to 200 dollars.
Newly leaked images also seem to confirm some of the design changes rumored to be coming to the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. The devices appear to come in two different colors, gray and navy blue, and the pill-shaped camera and sensor section highlights the nearly bezel-less display.
In addition, it is claimed that there could be some delays in the production of the Pro Max model. Manufacturers are said to be struggling to meet Apple’s demands and mass production is starting later than expected. For this reason, it is stated that the phone may be on the shelves in November-December.
