iPhone 15 series may have USB-C variations

Ana sayfa / News

According to new claims, the iPhone 15 series will have a USB-C port in common. However, there will be differences between the phones in this regard. For example, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models will not be able to take full advantage of USB-C. So 15 and 15 Plus will only be able to achieve USB 2.0 speeds. The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will benefit from the full speed of USB-C. However, this speed will only be available for officially approved accessories with Apple’s “IC” chip.

Apple may have plans to limit iPhone 15’s USB-C port

For maximum performance, Made for iPhone (MFI) certified accessories will be required. Apple will receive license money for the IC chip from companies that want to produce these accessories. The company does not use this infrastructure in products with other USB-C ports. In the case of iPhones, it seems to want to establish a new ecosystem over USB-C. The effect of this on the consumer is likely to be higher prices for a simple cable.

For phones, information about screen brightness had come to the agenda before this. The high-end members of the iPhone 14 series, which consists of four different phones with the names 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max, are currently built on very bright screens. The Samsung Display-produced “Super Retina XDR” displays on the phones can reach 1,000 nits normally, 1,600 nits in HDR content, and 2,000 nits outdoors.

According to a source, with the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, the top brightness can be increased up to 2,500 nits. This is because Samsung’s next OLED panel will also be able to reach this level, and it is 99 percent likely to be used by Apple in the new iPhones. Such high brightness seems important and already pleases those waiting for the new devices.
