In the world of technology, a fierce competition is underway. Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro and Google’s Pixel 9 series will feature Samsung’s top-notch OLED display technology, which is expected to surpass the display quality of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Here are the details:

According to a report from South Korea, Apple’s 2024 Pro models and all upcoming Google devices will utilize M14 OLED technology. Samsung, already a leader in display production, manufactures its highest-performing OLED screens using the latest materials. The most advanced displays are part of Samsung’s M series, with a higher model number indicating a higher quality display.

The M14 technology will debut with the Pixel 9 family, expected to be introduced by Google on August 13. This technology will not only be used in the Pixel 9 but also in the Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and the second-generation Pixel Fold. This will mark the first time these materials are seen in a smartphone, and they are expected to offer superior brightness and longevity compared to current technologies.

Apple will use M14 technology exclusively in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models. The standard and Plus versions will continue to use the current M12 technology, which is also found in the iPhone 14 Pro Max, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Flip 5.

According to an earlier report, next year’s iPhone 17 series will also feature M14 displays. Each material generation typically lasts for two years. Samsung’s top-tier traditional phone, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, will have an M13 panel, so it is likely that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will come with an M14 display.
