With the iPhone 15 Pro series last year, Apple removed the ringtone switch we’ve been used to since the first iPhone and replaced it with a new action button. With the iPhone 16 Pro, the company is adding a camera action button to phones.
Is iPhone becoming a camera?
Apple is adding the camera action button to its devices with iPhone 16 Pro. With this new button operation, users will be able to take different actions while taking photos. When the button is combined with the advanced camera of the iPhone 16 Pro series, the phone turns into a full camera. Previously, analyst Mark Gurman stated that iPhone 16 Pro will have a 6.3-inch screen and Pro Max will have a 6.9-inch screen.
This camera button, which will be new with iPhone 16 Pro, will have many functions in iOS’s own camera application. This mechanical button will be responsive to touch and pressure. By pressing lightly, you can focus on the image, and when you press it fully, you will be able to complete the action you want to do as if you are taking a photo from the camera. When the button is pressed hard, the phone will detect it with its pressure-sensitive sensors and start video recording. When you slide your finger right-left on the camera action button, you will be able to zoom in and out.
While the information given at the moment shows this, it seems uncertain for the moment that you can assign a feature other than the camera to this button. However, the iPhone 16 Pro series is powered by the new A18 Pro processor and the 8 GB RAM series that will accompany it. The combination of A18 Pro and artificial intelligence will allow you to get much better photos in the new iPhone 16 Pro series compared to the old ones.
