Apple has accelerated its work for the iPhone 16 family. It wants to make the titanium coating, which it first used on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, even more durable. Accordingly, the company has designed a new production process.
iPhone 16 Pro series will have grade 5 titanium
Apple has reportedly completed the titanium coating and coloring process for the iPhone 16 Pro models. Sources revealed that Apple will use a grade 5 titanium coating on the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max.
The new method developed by the company will offer a more glossy appearance compared to the matte finish on the iPhone 15 Pro series. The titanium in the 16 Pro series is thought to be similar to previous Pro models, which were coated with stainless steel.
In terms of durability, titanium stands out by being stronger than steel when it comes to scratches. Although fingerprints are more visible, the iPhone 16 Pro will be able to prevent scratches that may occur due to use.
Apple will also offer two new color options for the iPhone 16 Pro, Space Black and Rose Gold. It is aimed to give users a more premium feel by replacing the Blue Titanium model with Rose Gold. Space Black can replace black titanium.
The case of the iPhone 16 Pro, whose performance tests were revealed recently, was also leaked. In line with the allegations, the iPhone 16 Pro may indeed have a brand new Catch Button.
