Apple’s return of the physical camera button with the iPhone 16 series has reverberated among Android brands. According to recent reports from China, some brands such as Nubia and OPPO will offer a similar feature on their new flagship models. Accordingly, Android devices will have a camera button.
Physical camera button move from Nubia and OPPO
According to reports, the Nubia Z70 Ultra will come with a “very convenient” physical camera button. According to Nubia Executive Ni Fei, the button will work in two stages like the iPhone. A half-press will focus, while a full press will take a photo/video.
OPPO Find X8 Pro and Ultra models will also offer a feature called “Quick Button”. Although the details are still unclear for OPPO devices, it is possible that this button will offer controls such as half-press focus and swipe zoom like on iPhone 16.
The Find X8 series is also expected to come with a 10x periscope telephoto camera. A physical camera button could pave the way for more efficient use of the periscope telephoto sensor. These developments also show that it could start a new camera trend in the Android world.
For those who don’t know, the iPhone 16 family has a new Capture button. Located on the right side of the phone, this button makes it easier to take photos and record videos. In this context, we can say that it adds practicality.
