Apple will go beyond the minor updates of recent years with the iPhone 17 Pro. The model, which will be introduced this year, differs significantly from previous iPhones in terms of both design and hardware. According to shared leaks and CAD drawings, Apple is making significant changes, especially in camera and body design.
iPhone 17 Pro will attract attention with its new features
The rear camera structure of the iPhone 17 Pro is changing completely. The triple camera system, which has been positioned in the corner since the iPhone 11 Pro, will now take the form of a horizontally extending camera bar.
The triangular layout is retained, but this time the camera module will extend across the entire device. Components such as the LiDAR scanner, flash and microphone are placed on the right side of this bar. It is stated that the camera bar will match the body colour of the device, thus offering a more integrated look.
The body material will also change in the new model. Apple is abandoning the stainless steel and titanium used in previous Pro models and switching to an aluminium body.
In addition, iPhone 17 Pro now features a glass window placed on the aluminium back surface instead of monolithic glass. This window will provide the necessary space for both wireless charging and MagSafe. The aluminium body design will also reduce the weight of the device compared to previous models.
An important innovation also draws attention on the hardware side: Vapour Chamber cooling system. Thanks to this system, Apple aims to make the device heat up less under long-term high performance and eliminate thermal constraints.
Other changes in iPhone 17 Pro include Apple’s new Wi-Fi chip, 12 GB RAM capacity, 24 megapixel front camera and 48 megapixel telephoto lens. Dual video recording feature will be added to the camera app.
