Apple has developed its thinnest product ever with the iPad Pro it introduced in recent months. The company is rumored to want to bring this design language to the iPhone. Accordingly, the iPhone 17 series will be the thinnest and lightest Apple devices.
iPhone 17 series will be much thinner
According to recent analyst reports, Apple wants to make its devices thinner and lighter, starting with the iPhone lineup early next year. The company launched the iPad Pro, which is only 5.1 mm thick. It was Apple’s thinnest product to date.
Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman called the iPad Pro “the beginning of a new generation of Apple devices.” Gurman said that Apple will make a significant design change in the iPhone 17 series, which will go on sale in 2025.
On the other hand, Apple analyst Jeff Pu said that the iPhone 17 series will receive innovations in front camera and Dynamic Island designs. The analyst claimed that Apple will launch iPhone 17 Slim instead of the Plus model. However, the Slim variant will also be different from the mini phones.
Apple has also redesigned its other products to make them thinner. It was stated that the new versions of MacBook Pro and iPad Pro will be lighter.
Apple seems ready to leave its competitors behind in terms of thinness. Samsung is also rumored to be working on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim, which is thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. These claims show that companies are working on thinner and lighter designs.
