Apple, one of the most controversial brands in the technology world, launched the new iPhone 15 series a few months ago. Now, while the eyes are turned to the iPhone 16 that the company will introduce next year, the first information from the iPhone 17 series has started to come. Finally, an important information has emerged for the flat models in the series.
We will not encounter a 60 Hz screen refresh rate in the iPhone 17 series
While Apple has kept the screen refresh rate constant at 120 Hz on Pro models in the iPhone series introduced in recent years, this speed remained at 60 Hz on flat models. Although even the entry-level models of rival Android manufacturers have 120 Hz displays, Apple’s insistence on 60 Hz still causes criticism. However, it seems that these criticisms will end with the iPhone 17 series.
According to some recent claims, Apple will place an LTPO OLED display supported by a 120 Hz refresh rate on flat models, let alone Pro models in the iPhone 17 series. Expectations about the increase in refresh rate were in the iPhone 16 series. However, the technology giant seems to be exposed to criticism for another year.
In addition, the standard model in the iPhone 17 series is expected to use the Apple A19 processor. However, it is suggested that it will draw power from a 5,200 mAh battery and run on the iOS 19 operating system.
Apple is expected to introduce the new iPhone 17 series in 2025. Although there is no clear date for this, it is estimated that the launch will take place in mid-September. As a result, there is nothing to do but wait for now.
