A new report about Apple’s affordable iPhone 17e, expected to launch in early 2026, has revealed key details about the device’s display supply and design. According to information from Korea, panel production will be split between BOE, Samsung Display, and LG Display, but Chinese manufacturer BOE will handle the majority of orders.
Same Panel as iPhone 16e, Different Look
The new model’s display will feature the same LTPS OLED panel as the iPhone 16e. However, a significant design improvement is expected. The iPhone 17e will have thinner bezels than its predecessor.
Apple reportedly plans to ship approximately 8 million iPhone 17e units in the first half of the year, indicating that the device is expected to be in high demand, particularly in budget-focused markets.
According to previous rumors, the iPhone 17e will feature the same 18MP selfie camera found in the other iPhone 17 family, which was introduced in September. On the performance front, the iPhone 17 is expected to be powered by the A19 chip.
The rear camera system is likely to retain the 48MP main camera from the iPhone 16e. These features make the iPhone 17e an attractive option, offering strong performance and up-to-date camera technologies despite its affordable price.
