iPhone Fold’s Battery Capacity Leaked

Apple’s long-rumored and eagerly anticipated foldable smartphone, tentatively known as the iPhone Fold, is expected to launch in 2026, with some reports suggesting a 2027 release date. A new leak has revealed key details about the iPhone Fold’s battery capacity.

According to leaked information, the Apple iPhone Fold’s battery capacity will reportedly be higher than that of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, the current largest model in the iPhone lineup. For comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro Max has a battery capacity of 4,823 mAh (5,088 mAh for the eSIM model only). The iPhone Fold is expected to surpass this figure, boasting a battery capacity between 5,400 mAh and 5,800 mAh.

The report suggests that Apple is currently testing the foldable iPhone with this specified battery capacity. It’s also worth noting that early iPhone Air prototypes used a 3,000 mAh battery, but Apple managed to fit a much larger unit into the final model.

Given this precedent, a similar outcome is likely for the iPhone Fold. This raises the possibility that the device will feature a battery closer to 6,000 mAh at launch.

Given that the foldable phone will reportedly feature a 7.58-inch main display and a 5.38-inch cover display, a large battery capacity seems essential to meet the increased power demand. All eyes are on Apple for further developments regarding the iPhone Fold. More definitive details are expected to emerge as the device’s release date approaches.
