Apple is demonstrating a remarkable performance in the smartphone industry with its iPhone series, setting the bar high. As a result, the company’s flagship series is sold at a considerable price. Seeking a solution to this situation with suitable models, the company periodically releases the iPhone SE series. The release date of the fourth model in the series is a subject of curiosity.
iPhone SE 4 will debut in 2025
Apple’s budget-focused iPhone SE series has been available to users since 2016. The third generation of the series made its debut in March of last year. New rumors have been circulating for a long time about the release date of the series, eagerly awaited by users who want to use a relatively affordable iPhone. Significant sources previously stated that the fourth-generation model would be introduced in 2023. However, recently there has been an increasing amount of information indicating that the release will be delayed.
Barclays analysts Blayne Curtis and Tom O’Malley shared a research note with MacRumors this week. The report states that it is highly unlikely for the iPhone SE 4 model to debut in 2023 or 2024 and is most likely to be released in 2025. The reason for this delay is attributed to the development of Apple’s 5G modem.
According to reliable sources, the Apple device will feature a 6.1-inch OLED display on its front panel, which will be produced by BOE, a Chinese company. As known, due to production issues, the company could not be included in the OLED lineup of the iPhone 15 series. Instead, Apple sourced most of the screens from Samsung and LG.
Additionally, it is expected that the iPhone SE 4 model will have an IP67 certification, a 20W fast charging capability, and a 3,000mAh battery that supports 7.5W wireless charging. The smart phone will once again highlight the processor, as is typical in the iPhone SE series. However, it should be noted that these details have not been confirmed by other sources at a later date.
