For a long time, there have been rumors and leaks about the vivo sub-brand iQOO’s upcoming flagship smartphone series, the iQOO 12. Today, the company has officially confirmed that the new series will be the first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which was announced a few hours ago. Here are the details about the iQOO 12 specs and launch date…
iQOO 12 will launch on November 7 in China
Although there are no official details about the launch date of the expected smartphone, the rumors claim that the brand will announce the iQOO 12 series on November 7 in China. For the global version, we need to wait for a while. After the launch of the new flagship chipset, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, iQOO has announced that the iQOO 12 will be the first phone with the new processor.
When we look at the new chipset, we can see that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 comes with 30% better performance and a 20% improvement in energy efficiency. Also, it offers a 25% boost in image processing speed and a 25% increase in energy efficiency.
Thanks to the new chipset, iQOO 12 will offer a great performance while playing games. The phone will run popular games like PUBG Mobile, PUBG New State, Genshin Impact, and LoL Mobile at 144 fps with frame interpolation.
The iQOO 12 is set to improve gaming graphics by incorporating a special display processor. This feature, much like what Apple introduced in the iPhone 15 Pro recently, will utilize hardware-based ray tracing. This means that mobile games will have incredibly realistic lighting, reflections, and shadows, providing a significantly more immersive experience.
