Samsung prevents APK installation with Auto Blocker
Samsung is preparing to embed a security feature called Auto Blocker in its new Galaxy models. This service aims to prevent the installation of applications from unauthorized sources. This means that installing APKs will become even more troublesome.
Auto Blocker; It appeared in Samsung’s Android 14-based OneUI 6 interface. While it is enabled by default on devices with this interface, it was seen in Settings > Security and Privacy.
Auto Blocker will prevent the installation of apps downloaded outside official app stores such as Google Play Store and Galaxy Store. Samsung aims to protect Galaxy devices in this way. Installing apps from third-party sites exposes users to malware and privacy risks.
Of course, sideloading is allowed in the Android operating system. Auto Blocker will warn users against unauthorized apps even if permission is granted. This will provide Samsung users with an extra layer of security.
