It’s so heavy… Early Apple Vision Pro testers in revolt

The Vision Pro, announced by Apple at WWDC 2023 last June, did not get a passing grade from the first testers. Previously, many said the augmented reality glasses were heavy and caused dizziness. Finally, Apple Vision Pro allegedly caused a stiff neck.

The Vision Pro mixed reality glasses are still months away from launch. But new reports claim that some testers are experiencing discomfort from wearing the device for long periods of time due to its weight.

Sources told Bloomberg that the Vision Pro currently weighs about a kilogram, resulting in a stiff neck for users during testing. Apple reportedly aims to distribute the weight with an overhead strap on the first model. But the long-term goal will be to make the glasses lighter.

Even though battery life is disappointing, is the Apple Watch Series 9 worth buying?

Even though the battery life is disappointing, do you think you should buy the Apple Watch Series 9? Here is the answer in detail...

The Vision Pro’s weight issues don’t bode well for a product that faces an uphill battle with a $3500 price tag expected to launch in early 2024. Bloomberg sources say Apple has completed development of the Vision Pro and is working on a more affordable next-generation pair of glasses.

On the other hand, let’s not forget that the Quest 3 VR headset introduced by Meta will be available starting at $500. Although it is cheaper than Apple, Meta aims to reduce costs by selling without a controller.

Meta will also launch Ray Ban’s new AR-supported glasses in October. Work is also underway on the first real AR glasses, which are targeted to be released in 2025.
