EA has officially announced the date when it will shut down the servers of FIFA 23, the popular football game beloved by fans around the world. Here’s when FIFA 23 will go offline for good!
When Will FIFA 23 Servers Shut Down?
EA started 2025 with a bang, shutting down the servers of nine games in January alone. These included Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, seven mobile games, and The Simpsons: Tapped Out, which had a loyal fan base for years. In February, UFC 3 was taken offline, followed by EA Sports UFC Mobile 2 and NCAA 14 in March.
Most recently, the servers for Madden NFL 21 were permanently closed as of June 30. From that date forward, certain modes became completely inaccessible. EA has since announced that Madden NFL 22 will go offline on October 20, and FIFA 23 will follow on December 12. While offline modes will remain available in both games, all online features will be discontinued permanently.

FIFA 23 holds a special place as it marks the end of the licensing partnership between EA and FIFA. EA has since rebranded its football franchise under the EA Sports FC name. In short, FIFA 23 will become something of a ghost town after December 12. However, as previously mentioned, offline features like Career Mode will remain accessible.
