Jackie Chan, one of the well-known names of action-adventure films, has rolled up his sleeves again for the iconic series. Allegedly, the Rush Hour series will be revived after 17 years. A new production can be added to the popular trilogy starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker after years.
Negotiations have started for Rush Hour 4 movie
The movie Rush Hour 4 actually went into production a while ago. However, when there was no news from the movie, its future remained uncertain. Finally, it was claimed that the production company Lionsgate was in talks with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.
According to sources familiar with the project, Lionsgate wanted to take on the fourth installment of the blockbuster series. Although the details are not yet clear, it was stated that it will be shot with director Brett Ratner.
Ratner directed the first three Rush Hour movies released between 1998 and 2007. However, after facing various allegations of misconduct in 2017, it was thought that he would not be involved in Rush Hour 4. His return to the franchise means it will be his first major project since the allegations.
The Rush Hour series starred Chan and Tucker in the lead roles. However, the aging and unpopularity of both names raises questions about their suitability for the project. However, Jackie Chan said he is ready for a new Rush Hour movie this year.
The Rush Hour franchise broke box office records, grossing over $875 million worldwide. Although Lionsgate has shown a late interest in the project, director Ratner and the famous names could make it interesting.
