Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, Warner Bros. and creates chaos as the Joker and Harley Quinn in the new trailer for DC’s Joker: Folie à Deux (Joker 2). This production, which is the sequel to 2019’s Joker, will be in theaters on October 4, 2024. After the first film won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival, this new film aims to achieve the same success.
What does the new trailer of Joker 2 say?
The first Joker movie was a huge success both critically and commercially. In the film, which had 11 Oscar nominations, Joaquin Phoenix won the best actor award and Hildur Guðnadóttir was awarded the best original score award. In this new movie, Phoenix reprises his role as the Joker and embarks on dark adventures with Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn character. The movie will largely take place in Arkham Asylum.
Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland and Harry Lawtey will appear in supporting roles in “Joker: Folie à Deux.” Additionally, Zazie Beetz returns as Sophie from the first film. This sequel will be like a musical that expands on Phoenix’s crazy dances in the first movie.
Joker: Folie à Deux is directed by Todd Phillips. He co-wrote the screenplay with Scott Silver and produced the film with Bradley Cooper.
