Joker: Folie à Deux story and release date
Just before the trailer, a 30-second video was shared. In this video, we saw the Joker laughing alone in a rainy prison courtyard, revealing that the second movie will continue with Fleck’s incarceration.
Joker: Folie à Deux will star Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga will play the role of Harley Quinn in the sequel, which will also include musical elements. With Harley Quinn, musical details are expected to come to the forefront in the movie.
Lady Gaga will also be featured on the soundtrack as well as a total of 15 covers. The second movie will also feature Zazie Beetz, who we know as Sophie. Todd Phillips is again in the director’s chair for Joker 2.
Joker: Folie à Deux will be released exclusively in theaters on October 4. If it can match the commercial success of the first movie, which debuted in 2019, it is likely to be one of the highest grossing films of this year. It should be noted that Joaquin Phoenix won an Oscar for the first Joker movie.
The Joker is the only one of the comic book-to-film adaptations that has been screened at international festivals and won awards. In this sense, the movie was awarded the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. Even though there is an audience that doesn’t like the movie, it received a passing grade from both critics and popular movie audiences. It remains unknown whether there will be Batman in this movie.
