Renowned game developer Hideo Kojima, known for Death Stranding and the Metal Gear Solid series, made a name for himself at Game Awards 2023. The Japanese developer released the first trailer for his new horror-themed game OD. Developed with Jordan Peele, what does OD have to offer?
A strange horror game from Hideo Kojima
OD, which has been arousing curiosity in the gaming world with leaks for a while, finally became real with its first trailer. Developed in collaboration with Kojima Productions and Xbox Game Studios, it is also being designed in partnership with Jordan Peele, the indispensable director of horror movies.
Detailed information about OD, which is said to offer an interactive horror experience, is not yet available. The approximately 1.5 minute trailer features actors Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer and Udo Kier. The trailer, which shows the actors in close-ups, does not mention any details about the subject.
The short trailer also seems to reference P.T. with a reflection hinting at hallway and door mechanics. Developed by Kojima Productions, P.T. was a big hit in 2014. OD will also promise a psychological horror experience.
Previously, Kojima said that OD will offer a game and movie experience. The production, which is thought to bring a new breath to the horror industry, is likely to come to PC and Xbox earlier than PlayStation. However, it is thought that it will not be exclusive to Xbox.
