Karsan, which plays a leading role in the global transformation of public transportation to electric and autonomous vehicles, is preparing to showcase its strength with two important launches at Busworld 2025, one of the industry’s leading events. At the fair, to be held in Belgium from October 4–9, Karsan will hold the world premiere of its second driverless model, the Autonomous e-JEST, with its “two launches, one vision” approach, and the launch of the e-ATA Hydrogen, developed in collaboration with Toyota.
Karsan Autonomous e-JEST: A New Era in Urban Transportation!
Karsan will introduce the Level 4 autonomous driving technology version of the e-JEST, Europe’s most popular electric minibus for the last five years, to the world at Busworld 2025. The autonomous e-JEST stands out with its design that focuses on people, the city, the planet, and the future. Developed specifically for narrow streets and historic city centers, the model offers a safe, environmentally friendly, and efficient public transportation solution with its Level 4 autonomous driving technology. The autonomous e-JEST, which sets a new standard in urban transportation thanks to its high maneuverability and compact dimensions, stands out as the latest reflection of Karsan’s mobility vision.
e-ATA Hydrogen in Collaboration with Toyota
Karsan is also introducing the e-ATA Hydrogen model, developed in strategic partnership with Toyota, at the fair. A significant step forward for zero-emission, long-range public transportation, this model combines hydrogen technology with high comfort and environmentally friendly solutions. Developed in line with Karsan’s sustainable mobility vision, the e-ATA Hydrogen offers the future standards of public transportation today.
The autonomous e-ATAK, which has been used in real-world road conditions in Europe and the US since 2021, has driven over 100,000 kilometers and carried over 35,000 passengers. Successfully operating in a variety of scenarios, from university campuses and urban lines to Norwegian tunnels and harsh climate conditions, the autonomous e-ATAK reinforces Karsan’s leadership in Level 4 autonomous technology. At Busworld 2025, the model will be exhibited at the Karsan stand and will also offer a test drive experience in the outdoor area of the fair.
