OnePlus is preparing for a dual launch event that will heat up the Chinese market. At this event, taking place on October 27th, the company will unveil its highly anticipated flagship, the OnePlus 15, as well as its new performance-focused model, the OnePlus Ace 6. An official promotional image confirmed the Ace 6’s high-end specifications, adding to the excitement of mobile gamers.
OnePlus Will Be the Most Powerful Ace Series
OnePlus is positioning the Ace 6 as the brand’s most powerful Ace series phone yet, with details shared. The device is packed with key features specifically aimed at elevating the gaming experience.
Like the OnePlus 15, it will feature a flat OLED panel supporting an ultra-high refresh rate of 165Hz. This display is specifically optimized for gamers. In addition to 165Hz, it will offer multiple refresh rate options, including 144Hz, 120Hz, 90Hz, and 60Hz.
The Ace 6 will house the largest battery ever seen in a OnePlus phone. It will pack a full 7,800mAh battery, surpassing even the OnePlus 15’s 7,300mAh battery. This massive battery will offer very quick charging with 120W fast wired charging support. However, this model will not feature wireless charging, which is apparently reserved for the more premium OnePlus 15.
The phone’s body is reinforced with a metal midframe for added durability. It also boasts IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K certifications, promising high-level resistance to dust and various water pressures. For security, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor will be embedded under the display.
In addition to official announcements, leaked reports indicate that the Ace 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This performance monster is expected to come with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The phone is expected to ship with Android 16 based on ColorOS 16 out of the box, and is expected to feature a dual rear camera system with a 16-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel main sensor.
The OnePlus Ace 6, which will be available in white, silver, and black, is likely to be released globally in the coming weeks as a variant called the OnePlus 15R.
