KIA has subjected the Picanto model to a major facelift operation to enhance its presence in the A-segment car market. The images of the small car, which is expected to be officially introduced soon, have already emerged. With its redesigned car design, it now has a much more aggressive look.
With the facelift operation, the KIA Picanto has embraced the brand’s new face, similar to the Niro and Sportage models. The vehicle, equipped with boomerang-shaped headlights, also features KIA’s new logo. The headlights of the car extend towards each other with a chrome strip.
Looking at the rear of the vehicle, we can see that the taillights now meet with a red LED strip. The diffuser detail on the rear bumper of the car, which appears with the GT Line package, also contributes to its sporty appearance.
Important changes await us in the interior of the vehicle as well. The revealed images also showcase the car’s new digital instrument panel. However, it is not yet clear whether this digital panel will be offered as a standard feature.
Under the hood of the KIA Picanto, we expect to see the use of two different 1.0-liter engines. The updated model will feature a naturally aspirated unit with 67 horsepower, as well as a turbocharged engine with 100 horsepower. The current model is sold with the 67 horsepower 1.0-liter engine and the 84 horsepower 1.2-liter unit in some regions.
With its updated design, the Picanto seems to be much more competitive in the small car market.
