The company, which continues its production under the embargoes imposed by the US, used the Kirin 60s processor produced by SMIC, which it works with at the heart of the Huawei Mate 9000 series. Kirin 9000s went through special 14nm production with 7nm performance
The processor, which we first saw in the Huawei Mate 60 Pro, has impressed with its performance so far. SMIC, which has previously lagged behind processor manufacturers such as TSMC, wants to make a leap with this series and take itself to the next level.
When we look at the specifications, we see that SMIC used 7nm technology to produce the processor. However, the reports do not say this. According to Minatake Mitchell Kashio, CEO of research firm Fomalhaut Techno Solutions, the processor went through the 14nm process. But it was subjected to a special process that makes it behave like 7nm.
