LG has added a new model to its growing UltraGear OLED gaming monitor lineup, the 27GX704A. Initially released in China and Japan, the monitor has also been listed on Amazon Canada and LG Italy’s support pages, signaling an impending global launch. Its price hasn’t been officially announced yet, but it’s listed on some retail sites for around $799. Here are the details.

The UltraGear 27GX704A features a bright 26.5-inch WOLED panel. Its 2560×1440 (QHD) resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, and 178-degree wide viewing angles deliver consistent image quality. For fast motion clarity, crucial for competitive gaming, it boasts a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms gray-to-gray (GtG) response time.

The monitor covers 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, offers 10-bit color depth, and a static contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1. With a typical brightness of 275 nits, the panel reaches a peak brightness of up to 1,300 nits in HDR mode. VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black and HDR10 certifications also elevate visual performance.

Supporting AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Nvidia G-Sync, and VESA AdaptiveSync technologies, the monitor is equipped with special features for gamers, including Black Stabilizer, Dynamic Action Sync, crosshair overlays, an FPS counter, factory calibration, flicker-free technology, and a reading mode.

Connectivity options are also extensive: two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, one USB-B upstream port, two USB-A downstream ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The monitor boasts a frameless design with a glossy finish on all four sides, and features Hexagon RGB lighting on the back. Its stand offers 130 mm height adjustment, swivel, tilt, and pivot functions for ergonomic use. Without the stand, it measures 605.2 × 351 × 45.3 mm and weighs 4.8 kg.
