The LG Xboom Buds Lite and Xboom Buds Plus are the latest wireless earbuds to join the lineup, both tuned by will.i.am and aimed at delivering precise, dynamic sound. With graphene-coated drivers and unique features packed into both models, LG seems ready to push its TWS range into smarter, more personalized territory.
Xboom Buds Plus gets ANC and Bluetooth transmitter case
The premium Buds Plus come loaded. They feature active noise cancellation with triple MEMS microphones and adaptive EQ that adjusts tuning on the fly. The graphene drivers promise crisp audio with less distortion, while LG’s app lets users fine-tune sound further or use the Noise Cancelling Optimization tool to lock in the right fit.
Runtime hits 10 hours on a single charge, with 30 hours total using the charging case. That case does more than just recharge it also includes LG’s UVnano2 tech to sanitize the earbuds using ultraviolet light. A more surprising addition? The case can act as a Bluetooth transmitter for wired audio sources, and supports Auracast to stream to multiple devices at once.
Xboom Buds Lite still packs key features
While more budget-friendly, the Buds Lite don’t cut too many corners. They share the same graphene-coated drivers but offer milder noise cancellation. Users still get access to LG’s app, with four customizable EQ modes available. Battery life is slightly better here, 11.5 hours per charge, 35 hours with the case.
Key differences between Buds Plus and Buds Lite:
- Drivers: Both use graphene-coated drivers
- ANC: Stronger on Plus, lighter on Lite
- App features: Full adaptive EQ on Plus, preset modes on Lite
- Battery life: 10h (Plus) vs 11.5h (Lite) per charge
- Charging case: Plus has UV cleaning, Bluetooth transmitter, and wireless charging
New Xboom Buds arrive this September
Both the Xboom Buds Lite and Xboom Buds Plus are set to hit shelves in September 2025. Pricing remains under wraps for now, but LG’s pairing of high-spec audio with tuning by will.i.am suggests these won’t be your average earbuds. Whether you’re looking for ANC, app-based control, or just a better soundstage, LG’s latest drop hits more than just a single note.
