According to new code strings found in Samsung’s updated Emergency SOS, Phone, and Messages apps, sending and receiving messages in Satellite mode will soon be possible. It’s reported that Samsung Messages does not yet support this type of messaging system, and initially, the Google Messages app will be used for this feature.

Apple introduced the Emergency SOS feature with the iPhone 14 series in 2022. This feature allows users to send emergency messages or call emergency services in areas with no cellular signal. Android devices also have a similar Emergency SOS feature, but they cannot use satellites in low coverage areas.
