Lucid just unveiled its most affordable Gravity SUV yet the Lucid Gravity Touring. Priced well below its launch sibling, this new trim doesn’t trade performance or luxury for the discount. It still packs class-leading efficiency, a 1000V charging system, and a premium interior only now with a price tag that’s easier to swallow.
Lucid Gravity Touring undercuts rivals while staying fast
Starting at $79,990, the Gravity Touring drops the cost by $15,000 compared to the Grand Touring edition. That makes it the lowest-priced Gravity SUV to date, though it still isn’t aiming for the Model Y segment. Instead, it targets larger electric SUVs like the Tesla Model X and beats them at their own game in several key areas.
Dual motors crank out 560 HP and push the AWD SUV from 0-60 mph in just 4 seconds. It’s slightly behind the Model X in pure speed, but it wins big in efficiency and charging. Lucid’s 89 kWh battery might look small on paper, but it wrings out 337 miles of range better than what Tesla manages at this size.
Lucid Gravity Touring redefines electric SUV efficiency
Lucid’s real flex is in drivetrain efficiency. While the Air Pure RWD sedan gets up to 5 miles per kWh, the Gravity Touring still holds its own with 337 miles from just 89 kWh. No other three-row SUV gets close.
Charging, too, is a standout. Thanks to a native NACS port and Lucid’s 1000V architecture, the Gravity Touring can recover 200 miles of range in just 15 minutes at a V4 Supercharger something Tesla’s Model X can’t match yet.
Luxury inside, no compromises needed
Lucid didn’t skimp on the interior either. Despite being the entry-level Gravity, the Touring trim keeps most of the bells and whistles:
- 34-inch Clearview Cockpit 6K OLED display
- 18-way massage front seats in six leather options
- Premium audio system
- Multiple USB-C 100W and 120V power outlets
- Available in 6 or 7-seat configurations
- 120 cu ft of cargo space, plus 8.1 cu ft frunk
Third-row passengers won’t feel like afterthoughts, either those rear seats are full-size and fold flat when you need space. It’s a practical hauler, but it doesn’t feel like one.
Lucid Gravity Touring might be the SUV to beat
Lucid is finding its stride cutting price without gutting features. The Gravity Touring proves that performance, efficiency, and luxury don’t have to sit on separate shelves. For families eyeing EVs that actually deliver, this SUV doesn’t just check the boxes, it redraws them.
