MacBook Pro with M4 Pro and M4 Max chips is coming! Here is the date

Ana sayfa / News

Apple’s new generation 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are entering mass production this month with M4 Pro and M4 Max chips. According to DigiTimes, Apple’s supply chain has started production of the new models. In fact, the production capacity of Apple products is gradually increasing in the second half of 2024. This production process is also in line with the display panel shipment timing previously stated by Ross Young.

In a report published in May by Apple’s famous analyst Mark Gurman, the company announced that it would introduce three new Mac models with the standard M4 chip later this year. These models include the 14-inch entry-level MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac mini. However, it was stated that users should also expect to see models with the M4 Pro and M4 Max chips in the same period.

Considering that Apple launched the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max chips in October last year, the new MacBook Pro models with M4 chips are expected to be introduced two months later at the earliest.

In terms of performance, the M4 chip used in Apple’s previously released iPad Pro model delivered a 25% increase in multi-core CPU performance in Geekbench tests, so the M4 Pro and M4 Max chips are expected to offer similar performance and energy efficiency increases.

In terms of design, no major changes are expected in the next-generation MacBook Pro models. However, Gurman did say that Apple plans to make the MacBook Pro even thinner “in the next few years.”
