Nintendo’s getting into the Halloween spirit, and Mario’s leading the charge in costume. The newly released batch of Super Mario-themed Halloween icons is now live for Nintendo Switch Online members, and they’re only sticking around until 3rd November 2025.
Mario’s Halloween Switch Online icons are ready to redeem
These festive icons officially launched on 28th October and include a range of spooky Mario characters, including the plumber himself in full pumpkin attire. Luigi, Peach, and others are dressed up too, making it easy to spook up your Switch profile for the season.
If you’ve got Nintendo Platinum Points saved up, here’s what you’re in for:
- Character icons – 10 Platinum Points each
- Frames and backgrounds – 5 Platinum Points each
- Available to Switch Online members only
Redeeming is simple: open your Switch, head to the Missions & Rewards section, and claim your favorite Halloween looks before they vanish in early November.
Nintendo expands spooky season across games
These aren’t the only seasonal treats from Nintendo. Splatoon 3 is joining the Halloween festivities with themed events, and several other first-party titles are embracing the spooky vibes through in-game updates.
Nintendo rolled out NSO icons for Mario’s Super Picross earlier this month, packing October with treats for classic Mario fans.
Whether you’re hoarding points or just want to give your profile a haunted twist, now’s the time. Once these icons disappear after 3rd November, there’s no telling if they’ll ever come back, much like a shy Boo.
