Although it has dominated the Box Office for nearly 15 years, there is no shortage of people who believe that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has significant issues within. Yassir Lester, who has contributed as a writer on several Marvel films, recently shared his views on what he sees as the biggest problem in the cinematic universe.

Lester: “Marvel should have made some series into movies!”

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has shattered box office records since 2008, writing a huge success story. However, some insiders claim that serious issues lie behind the scenes. Yassir Lester, head writer of the Armor Wars project, has pointed out what he considers the biggest challenge Marvel faces in the cinematic universe.

According to Lester, Marvel has struggled to decide which projects should be films and which should be series. This indecision, as the former Marvel writer explains, often leads to an imbalance in storytelling that fails to meet viewers’ expectations.

Lester notes that Marvel is always in pursuit of the most interesting ideas but often struggles to decide which format best suits those ideas. For instance, Armor Wars was initially announced as a series but was later changed to a feature film.

This shift could indicate that Marvel is developing a new strategy, learning from past mistakes, and putting more thought into whether a story works better as a movie or a series.

This decision by Marvel is seen as a significant step in taking a broader perspective on characters and storylines. We’ll soon see if Armor Wars, focusing on Don Cheadle’s character Rhodey, will live up to expectations.
