The Gap Between MediaTek Dimensity 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is Widening
With the leaks that have surfaced, we are starting to see the results in the power race. The OPPO Find X8 Pro model has entered the Geekbench tests, and this phone derives its power from the Dimensity 9400 processor. According to the test results, the phone scored 2,818 points in single-core performance and 8,847 points in multi-core performance.
In previous tests, the device scored 3,010 points in single-core and 8,686 points in multi-core performance, continuing to fall behind phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, scored 3,069 points and 9,080 points in the same tests, while the OnePlus 13 further widened the gap by achieving a score of 10,049 in multi-core tests.
The difference in these tests is said to be due to the Dimensity 9400 processor’s lower core frequency. When we look at the processor’s speed, it has a base frequency of 2.40GHz and can reach a maximum of 3.63GHz, whereas on the other side, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 can reach up to 4.2GHz in tests.
Looking at the specifications of the OPPO Find X8 Pro, the device comes with 16GB of RAM and operates on the Android 15 operating system. Additionally, the series is expected to consist of three devices: standard, Pro, and Ultra.
