A thrilling advancement has taken place in the tech world. MediaTek has unveiled its new Dimensity 8400 chipset, which has surpassed Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen3 in benchmark tests. Here are the performance details…
MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Competes with High-End Segments
The initial test results for the Dimensity 8400 are quite impressive. Scoring between 1.7 million and 1.8 million in AnTuTu benchmark tests, this new chipset has outperformed the Snapdragon 8s Gen3’s score of around 1.7 million. This means MediaTek’s mid-range chipset is competing at the level of its rivals’ high-end chipsets.
Not only does this new chipset impress with its performance, but it also stands out for its price. Phones equipped with the Dimensity 8400 could be launched at prices as low as $205, combining high performance with affordability. This makes them both budget-friendly and performance beasts.
There is also activity on the Redmi front. They are working on new products featuring Dimensity 9300+, Dimensity 8400, Snapdragon 8 Gen3, and Snapdragon 8 Gen4 chipsets. Most of these products aim to combine elegance with metal frames and glass bodies, along with 1.5K/2K flat screens, 100W fast charging, and large batteries for peak performance. Rumors suggest that one of these devices could be the recently released K70 Supreme Edition.
These new chipsets could potentially shift the balance in the smartphone market. The ability of mid-range devices to offer high-end performance presents a significant advantage for users. What are your thoughts? Feel free to share your opinions in the comments section below.
