MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ will be an overclocked version
According to the official announcements regarding the upcoming chipset, MediaTek will launch the 9200+ on May 10th at a special event. However, there are no more details about the new product on the banner. We can assume that it will be an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9200 standard edition due to its name with plus.
It is claimed that the overclocked version will feature the same core architecture and specifications, the only difference might be the core frequency. It means that the expected mobile chipset will be more powerful and faster than its vanilla version.
When we look at the specifications of the standard MediaTek Dimensity 9200, we can see that it is based on TSMC’s 2nd Gen 4nm+ process. Additionally, it has 1x Cortex-X3 Ultra-Core (clocked @3.05GHz), 3x Cortex-A715 Performance Cores (clocked @2.85GHz), 4x Cortex-A510 Energy-efficient Cores (clocked @1.8GHz), and a Mali-G715 Immortalis MC11 GPU.
The rumors say that the new high-end chipset will be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Also, the chipset will be probably on devices, including vivo, X90S Pro, iQOO Neo8 Pro, and iQOO 11S.
