The release date of MediaTek’s new chipset, which competes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 alongside its previous model Dimensity 9300, has finally been announced. There have been many leaks regarding the highly anticipated new chipset in the smartphone world. With the release date now known, we’ve prepared a general summary for you. Here are the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ release date and specifications!
MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ release date announced: Coming on May 7th!
MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 processor (SoC) features a configuration of four Cortex-X4 CPU cores and four Cortex-A720 performance CPU cores. Most smartphones also use CPU cores with lower power efficiency to perform tasks that require less workload in addition to these cores. However, Dimensity 9300 model does not have these cores.
This situation has received criticism in many areas such as “devices will overheat, efficiency will decrease” in the market. The Dimensity 9300 SoC is currently actively used in the Vivo X100 series, and no such complaints have been reported yet. Of course, we cannot say whether problems will arise as the devices age, but we can say that the company is currently progressing quite successfully.
When it comes to the Dimensity 9300+ model, the chipset will feature a top-of-the-line Cortex-X4 CPU core. The core, which has a speed of 3.25 GHz in the 9300 SoC model, will offer speeds of up to 3.40 GHz in the 9300+ model. The other remaining 3 cores will continue to maintain the 2.85 GHz speed from the SoC model. Additionally, the four Cortex-A720 CPU cores in the Dimensity 9300+ chipset will also continue to maintain the 2.0 GHz speed from the 9300 set.
Taking a general look at the 9300+ model, we can say that the chipset actually serves as a preparation for the upcoming 9400 series, which will largely follow. The MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset will initially find its place in the market with the Vivo X100s. The upcoming flagship model 9400, on the other hand, is expected to be produced with second-generation 3nm technology and to feature the new generation Cortex-X5 CPU core.
