MediaTek continues to expand its high-end mobile processor family. The company has introduced its new chipset, the Dimensity 9400e, which it positions as a sub-option of its flagship models. The processor will be a slightly revised version of the Dimensity 9300+ model introduced last year.
MediaTek Dimensity 9400e officially introduced
Developed with TSMC’s third-generation 4nm production process, the Dimensity 9400e comes with a total of 8-core CPU architecture. This configuration includes one 3.4 GHz Cortex-X4, three 2.85 GHz Cortex-X4, and four 2.0 GHz Cortex-A720 cores.
The processor is also accompanied by 8 MB L3 cache and 10 MB SLC. While LPDDR5X RAM support continues on the memory side, the 9600 MHz RAM speed in the previous model has been reduced to 8533 MHz in the 9400e. On the graphics side, the 12-core Immortalis-G720 GPU has been preserved.
On the wireless connection side, Wi-Fi 7 support stands out. With this support, data transfer speeds of up to 7.3 Gbps are offered. Thus, a significant increase in connection performance will be achieved compared to the Dimensity 9300+ model.
Thanks to the dual Bluetooth engine, Bluetooth 6.0 technology can also operate at a longer range. MediaTek states that a connection distance of up to 5 kilometers can be provided when the phones are within line of sight.
There are also significant developments in the field of artificial intelligence. The Dimensity 9400e comes with MediaTek’s latest NeuroPilot SDK package. Thanks to this, the system; Multi-Modality (LMM), Large Image Models (LVM) and different language models (SLM/LLM) gain the ability to run.
Mobile gaming performance will also be at the forefront of the new chipset. In addition to MediaTek Adaptive Gaming Technology and HyperEngine technologies, it is stated that power consumption is reduced by up to 40% with the new Frame Rate Converter feature.
